Types of Cleanings

Basic cleaning typically means quick surface cleanings. Cleaning what one can obviously see is dirty.  Cleaning around things, rather than having them moved and those things cleaned also. Basic cleaning of counters, tables, dishes, floors, garbage and debris pick up, along with discarding trash. This is typically the type of cleaning one gets after a party, a family/friends get together for like the holidays or the Super Bowl. Or for basic general cleanings from the typical mainstream house cleaner. Getting what appears to be more done overall, than spending extra time in any particular areas doing any type of detail cleaning.

Detailed cleanings are deep cleanings. Spending more time cleaning areas and items for a more thorough cleaning. For instance, the inside as well as the outside of a microwave, oven or refrigerator. Cleaning inside as well as outside trash containers from spills, leaks and the unpleasant smells they bring. Or cleaning hard water stains from glass shower doors or walls.. Moving furniture when vacuuming or sweeping and mopping. One is wanting a more thorough cleaning, than quick general surface cleanings. Getting more effort and time invested in areas to have places and their things in, cleaned more thoroughly. Like cleaning under beds and behind furniture like TV's and couches. Or in closets where  dirt, dusty shelving and cob webs aren't so readily seen due to low or no lighting. Easier for insects  like spiders to hang out and congregate. As there are no regular activities taking place to disturb them in those areas. How often is there activity behind our TV's or under our beds? Including any type of cleanings of often times.

The many things some don't notice all that much that accumulate dirt (seen or not) and become easily overlooked in their homes that are available with my detailed cleanings, are........:
  1. The top of refrigerators and the insides of. Also behind, sides and under the frig or stove, pulling them out carefully.
  2. The top of doors and door frames, door handles and around them that we touch and handle daily.
  3. Shelves in room closets, shelves in kitchen and bath cabinets, book shelves and entertainment centers.
  4. Lime, calcium, hard water deposits around faucets, drains, in toilets, tubs and on shower walls and doors.
  5. Ceiling fans and ceiling light fixtures, dusty high/low room air vents and bath light fixtures above large mirrors.
  6. Window sills and tracks for windows or sliding glass doors that collect much sand here in New Mexico.
  7. The back, top and screens of TV's, stereo equipment and entertainment systems.
  8. Wash all decorative items on walls, high or low.
  9. Handles on cabinets, dressers and appliances, like stoves, ovens, frig's, and microwaves that we may handle often.
  10. Corners of rooms and areas of floors covered with furniture with animal hair or dust/dirt build up under/behind.
  11. Light switch covers, remote controls and computer keyboards that collect dirt and grime easily.
  12. Under/behind beds, couches, and heavy furniture that is not moved often.
  13. Dusty light bulbs in lamps, light fixtures and the cleaning of lamp shades.
  14. Fireplaces that are used and could use a good wet and soapy washing out, after sweeping.
  15. The inside and outside of windows and their screens.
  16. Glass shower doors  and walls of hard water stains, soap deposits and oxidation.
  17. Clean, organize, pantries, closets, under kitchen sinks.
  18. Cleaning the inside of cabinets, kitchen or bath, including when one takes the drawers completely out.
  19. Cleaning the front of kitchen or bath cabinets doors, where light spills can take place and accumulate..
  20.  Framed pictures hanging in hallways, or on walls in other rooms, or sitting on tables or dressers.
  21. Other essential and/or decorative items on dressers, tables, counters, walls and floors. Washing all the items on them that were first needing to be removed to clean such places, cleaning them before placing them back..
