Why I don't provide a phone number on my website 


I operate my cleaning business by email. I am always happy to call you or receive one from you , if we schedule one through emails.
Here are the reasons why.

1.. My information for scheduling is all on my computers at home. Since I am a little older, a 20 inch screen is much more practical to work on than the 5 inch screen cell phone I have. Having a larger keyboard to work with also makes it much more practical. Then ....  
2. I don't carry or use my cell phone when cleaning. I find that unprofessional. Or use when I'm driving. So it's very difficult to reach me by cell phone. Then the landline phone I still have, is where I prefer to be speaking on the phone when desired.. When I'm not working, and home to do so. 
3. I am up very early and get home later, not being practical times to return phone calls, for others.
4. We all have times we can't and/or it's not convenient to be making and answering phone calls.
5. Playing phone tag is frustrating. More often than not, not making much progress with leaving short voice mails. Emailing can be done at our convenience daily. Communicating the information we both need to keep things moving forward.
6. With email, everything said is in writing. Eliminating the additional writing required many times with voice mails or phone calls..
7. You get a reply from me the very next day, more often than not, by email.
8. I provide my phone number in my return email to you to be professional and for those times when there is a need to speak by phone. Most often on the day of our cleanings.
9.  I give you my business card on our first visit. Providing my full name, email address, and site address..
10. I typically make calls daily, in the hour before a scheduled cleaning. Letting you/others know that I am heading on my way out to you.  This way you know I am on my way, and I know you are there, ready to have me do some good work. ​Like giving you an excellent home cleaning, for example.

Most my clients aren't home when I am cleaning their homes. So some like knowing things are going as scheduled with a phone call. Then many have home security cameras and can easily see when I arrived and left and don't need those calls.

I work both earlier and especially later hours. Not using my phone in those times while working. Getting home after 9::00 pm often to after midnight at times. Making it difficult to reach me by my landline phone and/or for me to return calls at reasonable hours for others. So I've found emailing keeps the communications moving forward, not us both needing to be available, at the same times, to communicate.. Like we would need to be with phone calls .
